Earthquake

Now is like, only early March. But we have seen & heard of uncountable earthquakes occuring around the globe.

Ini pendapat saya, I may be wrong so pls don't judge me aite? Indonesia, one of the most active place where natural disasters are prone to attack. Adakah kerana masyarakatnya yang mencampur adukkan pelbagai agama semua into one? Yang mengaku beragama Islam boleh bernikah dengan yang bukan Islam. Yang bukan Islam sewenangnya melafazkan doa, atau kata-kata pujian terhadap Allah ibarat mereka ni seorang umat Islam? Atau ini cuma berlaku dalam media sahaja dan bukan dalam hidup seharian seperti yang kita lihat atau dengar? Mungkin sahaja gempa bumi ni boleh berlaku terhadap sesuatu tempat yang banyak berlakunya kegiatan maksiat. Hanya dia Yang Maha Mengetahui.

Tiap kali saya lalui expressway Pasir Panjang flyover, saya akan terpesona dengan keadaan sekeliling saya. Apa ke tidak, tanah yang saya pijak sekarang dulunya lautan air. Sekarang da keras dek ditambak tanah. Boleh bangunkan bangunan ofis tinggi lampai lagi. Bila lalui jembatan betul betul mengadap platform yang selalu digunakan untuk menyambut National Day tu, saya bayangkan seandainya Singapore ni dilanda Earthquake, mana nak lari beb? Apa ntah lagi sekali dia gegar, jembatan yang kakinya ibarat lipan ni confirm berhayun punya. Patah la sekali dia dan rebah ke dalam laut di bawah yang saya tak tahu berapa dalam parasnya tu. Saya dahlah phobia ngan laut.

Dulu boleh la dikatakan Singapore ni negara selamat. Alhamdullilah, selama ni, belum ada lagi bencana alam yang menimpa. I hope it remains that way. Tapi memandangkan dua casino sudah dibina di dalam negara ni, saya tak jamin ia akan tetap selamat seperti dulu. Sumber rezki negara ni dah mula bergantung dan bersangkut paut kepada dunia gambling. Alahai..

Come to think of it, all the buildings here semua tinggi berjeler. Other than cos of space/land constraint menjadi alasan mengapa such buildings are built in the 1st place to cater to the growing population, then safety issues, in the case of an earthquake, bohong la kalau bangunan ni tak jatuh. Confident benar orang-orang yang bikin planning tuk Singapore ni. Macam ada bayar membership fee untuk Premium account gitukan so that kita disingkirkan dari terkena earthquake. Sana sini flat high rise, sekali jatuh mana nak lari. Cubalah anda bayangkan.. Tak boleh kan?

Chocolate Chip Muffin

Baked these in the morning before heading off to Janby's open house :)









Ingredients
¾ lb chocolate chips.
1/3 lb of soft butter.
4 medium eggs.
2 ½ cups of flour.
1 cup of sugar.
¼ cup of milk.
1 tablespoon of baking powder.
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
½ teaspoon of salt.
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and butter your muffin pan.

Beat the butter and the vanilla extract together to form a light, airy mixture.

One at a time, add the eggs, and beat gently.

Add ¼ cup of the sugar after each egg and mix thorougly.

Put the baking powder and salt in the milk, then add to the mixture.

Fold in the flour and the chocolate chips.

Pour the mix into your buttered muffin pan, filling each cup two-thirds full.

Bake for 25 minutes or until muffins turn golden brown.

Berry Gone Wild Mocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 2 tsp. wild blueberries and 6 mint leaves, torn. Muddle mixture. Add 4-6 oz. lemonade. Shake and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with frozen wild blueberries.

Behind The Eight Ball Mocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add:
1 oz chilled espresso
1 tbsp. chocolate syrup

Stir until well-chilled and strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with three roasted coffee beans.

Berry Caprioska Mocktail

2 tbsp mixed berries
1/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/4 oz simple syrup
2 oz white cranberry juice

1. In a cocktail shaker, add berries, lime juice and simple syrup. Muddle or mash† with a bar spoon.

2. Fill shaker with ice and add white cranberry juice. Shake sharply and strain into a rocks glass with ice.

3. Garnish with a mixed berry skewer.

Simple Syrup
Measure equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let cool; refrigerate.

To Muddle or Mash
You'll need a muddler or bar spoon. Mashing the berries releases the juices into the cocktail giving it flavour.

Be Cool Mocktail

Rim a Martini glass with lime cordial and red sugar. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz. white grape juice, 1 oz. raspberry juice and 3 oz. orange juice. Shake and strain into the Martini glass.

Baja Blend Mocktail

To a blender, add 1 cup ice, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 oz. grenadine and 3 oz. light cream. Blend until smooth and pour into a coupette glass. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Backyard Caesar Mocktail

Rim a tall glass with fresh lime and celery salt. Fill the glass with ice and add 2 tsp. spicy BBQ sauce, ¼ oz. lime juice and 4oz. Clamato. Stir to mix. Garnish with a beef pepperette.

Baby Belle Mocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 3 oz. pineapple juice, 2 oz. orange juice, 1 tsp. grenadine. Shake until frothy and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with 2 oz. lemon-lime soda and garnish with a pineapple spear.

August Sunset Mocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 1 oz. passionfruit juice, 2 oz. pink grapefruit juice and 3 oz. cranberry juice. Stir to mix. Strain into a Martini glass and garnish with a pink grapefruit slice.

Apricot Invasion Mocktail

Fill a tall glass with ice. Add the juice of 1/8 fresh lemon, 3 oz. apricot juice, 2 oz. cranberry juice and 2 oz. ginger ale. Garnish with an apricot slice.

Apple Cinnamon Mocktail

Fill a wine goblet with ice. Add 2 oz. cranberry juice and 4 oz. chilled apple cider. Stir to mix. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Airborne Mocktail

Fill a tall glass with ice. Add 3 oz. cranberry juice, 2 oz. orange juice and 1 oz. ginger ale. Garnish with an orange wheel.

Crushed Peach Mocktail

Ingredients ( Makes 15 )

*Crushed ice
*900ml peach nectar
*1.2L soda water

Method

1.Place a scoop of ice in each glass, top with 60ml nectar and 80ml soda water.

Notes & tips

Serve in acrylic cocktail glasses.

Margarita Mocktail


*2 oz Sour mix
* 2 oz Fresh Lemon or Lime juice
*3 oz Carbonated lemon-lime soda

Dip rim of glass in lemon juice then in salt

Apple Bliss Mocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1oz apple cider the juice of 1/8 fresh lemon and 3 oz cranberry juice. Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cranberry skewer.

All Night Apricot Mocktail


In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 2 oz. apricot juice, 2 oz. orange juice, 1 tsp. grenadine and 1/4 oz. lime juice. Shake and strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with a fresh apricot slice.
